About the cantor
For many years, Asher Heinovitz served as cantor of Jerusalem's Yeshurun Central Synagogue and was a central figure in shaping its musical character.
Today he serves as cantor emeritus and prayer leader at Yeshurun, leading selected Shabbat services throughout the year.
His distinctive style combines the intimacy of a prayer leader with beloved passages of classical cantorial music.
